Who You Are

EPI-USE is looking for a Junior IT Support Consultant to join the company. You will have internal and external responsibilities. Internal responsibilities will include continued maintenance and growth of the company IT infrastructure, provide IT support for consultants working remotely, manage the existing server infrastructure, office network, support and install systems which will benefit the company and liaise with third parties as required. The external consulting responsibilities will be to assist clients with projects ranging from infrastructure support to integration setup. We have a wide variety of clients so you will be exposed to a diverse set of support work, and integration projects on various platforms. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn and can pick up new skills at a reasonable pace.

 

Experience: 1-3 years
Location: Richmond, Greater London, United Kingdom
Travel: 20%
Required Education: Higher education degree or diploma in an IT or software development related field

 

Preferred Skills:

  • First and second line support
  • Server OS support and troubleshooting (Windows Server, Linux)
  • MS SQL Server database administration
  • macOS and Windows desktop OS support and troubleshooting
  • MS Office 365 (Windows and Mac versions) and Active Directory support
  • Good understanding of desktop and server virtualisation (Parallels Desktop, VMware ESXi)
  • Networking (wireless, ethernet) and network hardware (routers, switches, NAS, WAP, VPN)
  • Server storage, backup and recovery
  • Good understanding of TCP/IP networking principles

 

Desired Skills:

  • Cloud computing (AWS, Azure)
  • Network and data security (firewalls, SSL, PGP encryption, etc.)
  • Integration/API experience
  • Single Sign-On (SSO)
  • Microsoft SharePoint
  • Containers (Docker, ECS)
  • Good understanding of server/desktop/laptop hardware (Mac and PC)

 

Soft Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication in English
  • Able to solve issues using a logical and analytical approach
  • Effective time management to make project deadlines and deal with multiple customers on a daily basis
  • Willing to learn new skills and adapt to change
